4th International Conference on Endometritis in Cows and Mares and joint Polish-Japanese Seminar Cutting edge of Reproductive Physiology – Key processes for birth of a new life
Recently concluded, Endometritis 2019, held in Warsaw from 8 – 11th September, was a huge success. It was the 4th edition of our conference that was attended by eminent scientists from all over the world. The conference started with a Plenary Lecture by Prof. Martin Sheldon to a packed audience in Session I and Prof. Takeshi Osawa in Session II. The following days continued to provide a program which showcased the latest scientific and clinical developments and updates in reproductive biology and pathology.
Notably, the lectures delivered in the conference emphasized the impact that research can have on understanding the reproductive health of animals. The spectrum of the research discussed encompassed causes, diagnosis and possible treatment of endometritis and placentitis in cows and mares. Significant advances were made in our understanding of the role of innate immunity and epigenetics in the development of uterine inflammatory diseases and identification of markers of uterine health.
The Joint Polish-Japanese Seminar started with a plenary lecture by Prof. Monika Kaczmarek and covered uterine ovarian and embryonic axis. The studies presented in this part followed by active discussions between participants and presenters provided novel insights into regulators of fertility, cyclicity and reproductive health. The research covered at Endometritis 2019, not only recognized the important contributions of scientists over the past years, but also highlighted key findings and scope for innovation moving forward that will enable the scientists to make future contributions in the field of reproductive biology.
Besides intensive scientific sessions, excursions and gala dinner was organized to provide participants with an informal platform for networking and to exchanges views on challenges and opportunities in science and on different cultures over delicious Polish food.
The Conference was establish under project KNOW – Leading National Research Center in Veterinary Sciences Healthy Animal – Safe Food. The Center is consists with five leading institution in Veterinary sciences:
